My favourite bike shop in St Andrews, especially if your bike needs any repairs. Jim is a cycling enthusiast who will not try to sell you a new bike or make a dodgy repair but rather fixes the bike properly. He also has a good range of used and rental bikes and he sometimes gives workshops about maintaining and repairing bicycles. I always enjoy a visit!
Jim's shop is the best! And Jim helped us plan our dream cycling trip! He rented us two bikes and a child seat for our little one. He easily (and promptly) corresponded with us via email (we live in Canada) and had everything ready to go the day we arrived. He also helped us make sure that our panniers and baskets would work with the bikes that he was renting us. Jim also checked in with us regularly during our rental, picked us up at the end of our journey and his prices were super reasonable. Finally, Jim is just a lovely human being and we would strongly recommend him, his bikes and his shop to anyone looking to buy secondhand, rent or repair bikes in the St. Andrew's area.
My wife rented a hybrid bike in St. Andrews and cycled the recommended route to and around the Tentsmuir Forest. Jim was very helpful in providing maps and detailed route information and making flexible arrangements for bike pick up and return. Great day!
I had an incredible experience with Cyclepath. I planned on biking around Fife last weekend, and prior to that weekend, I had never ridden a road bike before, only hybrids or mountain bikes, but the owner advised me that the road bike might be more suitable for my journey, and he was completely right. I had an incredible time, and the bike was absolutely perfect for long distance biking.I got to see so many great sites cycling around Fife, and met so many nice people, including the owners of this shop. Let them know what you plan on doing, and they'll find the perfect bike for you and your trip. They're super helpful, and kind. Highly recommended.
Jim, the owner, was fantastic. He could not have been more responsive to my email request for bike rentals while we were in Scotland recently. He was attentive to every detail of the request - three different size bikes, attaching the correct pedals to each bike, delivering to our inn, with maps and tools, water bottles, helmets and repair kits (fortunately we didn't need the latter), checking up that everything was in order once we had the bikes.He was a pleasure to deal with, and I highly recommend using his company.
