The Cathedral Grounds are beautiful and the Tower is worth walking up all 150 steps for the views which is included in the ticket price. The graveyard is amazing given its age. There is a small but interesting exhibit inside the ticket area that is worth a look. Nice gift shop and very friendly staff.
Great place to visit. If you are interested in the whole ruins you do not need to pay. If you want to go and see some of the stones fallen or recovered from the ruins, you can pay and go into two rooms. Paying also allows you to go on the top of the tower to see the best views of st Andrews and the firth
The history, sights, & everything about this place took my breath away. It was fascinating seeing how this would've been, if still standing. Plus, climbing up the tower was really neat. The view from the top is the best in town!
Beautiful ruins of a cathedral sitting inside a graveyard. Very interesting, however the graveyard is still in use and some of the gravestones are very recently dated, so please bear that in mind. The staff at the small museum are lovely, however you only need pay if you want to climb the tower and/or visit the museum.
Awesome is an understatement! Despite being in ruins - you can still marvel at the size & grandeur of the remaining stone carvings. The views to the sea is stunning. Free to enter.
