Very dated but nice

Great spot and helpful owner, would recommend

Lovely quiet family run wee site. The farmer was a lovely gentleman. Although I had to get over my issues of beasties in the shower/toilet area this wouldn't put me off in the future.

Excellent site a regular for us we go as often as we can - thank you.

We stayed here one night with a tent and it was not the best experience we had during our two week vacation (of which there were only 2 days left). When we arrived on the camping, the owner immediately showed up and asked us to pay 10 pounds for the night. The owner is indeed friendly and 10 pounds is not so much but kinda strange we had to pay before we had even seen the campground... There is one toilet and shower for the whole camping and they're both in the same building. (This means that if someone is showering, you'll have to wait) The toilet wasn't all that clean when I first checked it out, some had just gone to the toilet and was clearly to lazy to aim AND flush. The owner came by in at that moment and took the shower head of to spray the toilet clean, really nice, but it didn't really help. (The pee was still on the seat...). We decided to put up our tent on the assigned field, you know, that field where the cows are standing in one of the pictures shown here.... We didn't really mind and we had already paid, and decpite the toilet issues we decided to give the camping the benefit of the doubt. After dinner we, of course, wanted to do our dishes....WHERE?!?!?!?! The little toilet building had a sink but no warm water. We looked around the camping but nothing. The only place to get warm water was the shower which, oh yeah, you had to pay for.. (50p for 10 minutes) In the end we put our dishes in a plastic bag and decided we would do it on the next camping. The next day, when we were about to leave, I stopped by the toilet real quick. Seeing as there is no trashbin in the toilet, one of my fellow female campers decide to just leave her used ladypad (you know, those things women use when they are on their PERIOD, with blood...) in an empty paperroll on the ground. Yuck, not nice lady..... This camping is probably okay(ish) if you go here by camper or caravan. But for those with a tent.......
