I want to live here! Comfortable sitting, hot tea and the most incredible selection of books. Incredible selection of books on travel, guidebook, maps, language and essays. The staff is incredibly friendly and could not be knowledgeable. We should all be so lucky to live in a place with such an incredible bookstore.
Love Topping, its how book shops should be. All lovely varnished shelves and sets of sliding ladders for reaching higher shelves. Beautifully laid out in sections with stools if you want to browse through pre purchase. Lots of signed editions and some books are wrapped in cellophane so u you know you're the first to leaf through after purchase. Amazing selection of books and the staff are very helpful and a pot of tea or coffee are always on offer (it's not a coffee shop) with a lovely roaring fire on cold days. They have lots of writer meets and signings and other events .
Could easily get lost browsing the huge collection of books. There's so much choice and loads of special editions including signed books etc. Great atmosphere and you're sure to find something you're going to love. Staff were lovely too!
Incredible bookstore, especially given what a small town St Andrews is. Possibly the best & most diverse bookstore Ive ever visited! Excellent collection of Scottish and UK books, and some stunning art books, they seem to stock many books from small and independent publishers too.I love that theyre happy to make you a cup of tea to drink whilst you browse.
Easily the best bookshop (possibly the best shop overall) in St Andrews! Could literally spend thousands of pounds on an amazing collection of books. The staff are friendly, welcoming, passionate about books and make you really feel like a valued customer.
